The Coverage and Compliance Penalty Tutorial

This tutorial contains important information about Florida’s workers’ compensation coverage requirements and provides the employer the ability to qualify for a 15% reduction of the penalty that will be assessed for noncompliance if the employer completes the tutorial with a passing score of 80% or higher.

Pursuant to subparagraph 440.107(7)(d)1.c., Florida Statutes, an employer who has not previously been issued a Stop-Work Order or Order of Penalty Assessment may have their final assessed penalty reduced by 15% if they correctly answer at least 80% of the questions from an online coverage and compliance tutorial within 21 calendar days after the employer’s receipt of the written request to produce business records.

IF THIS IS NOT THE EMPLOYER’S FIRST TIME RECEIVING A STOP-WORK ORDER OR ORDER OF PENALTY ASSESSMENT, THE EMPLOYER IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE 15% PENALTY REDUCTION. THEREFORE, PLEASE DO NOT PROCEED BECAUSE THE ATTEMPT WILL BE NULL AND VOID, AND THE 15% PENALTY REDUCTION WILL NOT BE APPLICABLE.
